It is about how we live with our whole lives.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">To hallow God’s name means to honour Him for who He truly is. It means to revere Him, treasure Him, and hold Him in highest esteem.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">God’s name is not just a word. In Scripture, God’s name represents His character, reputation, and presence. To honour His name is to honour His faithfulness, mercy, justice, holiness, and love.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">This means worship is not only singing songs or praying certain words. Worship is a life that says, “God, You are worthy.” We hallow God’s name when our words, choices, relationships, habits, and actions reflect His goodness.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Of course, we do this imperfectly. We all have areas where our lives do not yet honour God as they should. But Jesus does not teach this prayer to shame us. He teaches it to form us.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">When we pray, “Hallowed be Your name,” we are asking God to make His goodness visible in us.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Today, begin with worship.
