He listened, trusted, obeyed, and lived in perfect relationship with Him. Jesus shows us that true freedom is not found in doing whatever we want. True freedom is found in loving obedience.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">This can sound strange because many people think freedom means having no limits, no authority, and no one telling us what to do. But that kind of freedom often leads to slavery: slavery to selfishness, fear, pressure, addiction, pride, or people’s opinions.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Jesus shows a better freedom. He is completely surrendered to the Father and completely alive.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">God’s will is not about control or restriction. It is about life, fruitfulness, and wholeness. Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">The Father’s will leads us toward true life because He is the source of life. He knows what forms us, heals us, frees us, and makes us whole.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">To pray “Your will be done” is not to give up joy.
