Those things matter, but they are not the greatest gift. From the beginning, God created us for relationship with Him. Sin damaged that fellowship, but Jesus came to restore it. Through His death and resurrection, He brings us back to the Father.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">In the new creation, that restored relationship will be complete. Faith will become sight. Prayer will become face-to-face communion. Worship will be unbroken joy.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">This hope can reshape our discipleship now. If life with God is our final goal, then life with God should also be our deepest desire today.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Prayer, worship, Scripture, obedience, and love are not empty religious tasks.
