He spoke life, not pride. Hope, not manipulation. But then He shows them what that means by washing their feet. His words and actions agree. They teach, guide, encourage, correct, and release others into their callings. Their words are not used to control people or make themselves look impressive.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">What we say often reveals what we serve. If our words are always about ourselves, we may be serving ego. If our words shame, pressure, or manipulate, we may be serving control. But if our words strengthen, encourage, and point people toward Jesus, we are serving others.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Each APEST gift needs servant-hearted speech. Apostles speak vision that includes people, not just tasks. Prophets speak truth with humility. Evangelists invite with gentleness. Shepherds comfort without control.
