Jesus honoured the Father’s name. Jesus proclaimed the Kingdom. Jesus obeyed the Father’s will. Jesus trusted the Father for daily provision. Jesus forgave His enemies. Jesus resisted temptation. Jesus defeated the evil one.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">To pray this prayer is to walk in step with Jesus’ own life and mission.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">This keeps prayer from becoming empty words. The Lord’s Prayer is not a formula to recite without thought.
