Forgiving someone does not mean saying the hurt was okay. It does not mean removing all boundaries. Forgiveness releases the debt to God. We may think resentment keeps us safe. But over time, bitterness often keeps us trapped. He knows betrayal, injustice, pain, and sorrow.
