This is often called the first announcement of the gospel. What begins in the garden finds its answer in Christ.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Jesus comes to deal with sin’s guilt, power, and pollution. He forgives us, frees us, cleanses us, and gives us new life. The Son of God was revealed to destroy the works of the devil.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">This means the fall is not the end of the story. Sin is real, but it is not final. Death is powerful, but Jesus is stronger. Shame causes us to hide, but Jesus calls us into mercy. Name one area where you have chosen your own way over God’s. Receive His mercy instead of hiding in shame.
