God is one, yet God speaks in a way that shows relationship.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">We are made in the image of this Triune God. That means we are not made to live only for ourselves. We are made for relationship: with God and with one another.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Sometimes people think being independent means being strong. But the Trinity shows us something different. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit live in perfect unity, joy, and love. God is not isolated. God is community.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">This means community is not optional for us. We were created to belong. We need people to love, forgive, encourage, and walk with. We also need to let others love us, which can sometimes be harder.<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Of course, human relationships are not always easy. People hurt us. We hurt others. But because we are made in the image of God, we are called back to love again and again. Not fake love. Not pretending everything is fine.
