Jesus gives gifts to His church so that His people can grow. 

1.Gifts That Help Us Become Like Jesus

This means we need one another. Your gift is not just for you. It is given to strengthen others. 

2.Many Parts, One Body

Jesus does not only teach us about APEST. He shows us what it looks like in a human life.

One danger in spiritual gifts is comparison. We may think one gift is more important than another. 

When gifts drift from grace, they distort.

The goal of APEST is maturity. Jesus gives these gifts so the body of Christ can be built up, become united, and grow into His fullness.

APEST is not just about understanding ourselves. It helps us understand how we fit into God’s larger design for the church.
