The Bible’s hope is not escape from the world. It is the renewal of creation. John sees a new heaven and a new earth, with the holy city coming down from God.

1.All Things Made New

The Bible begins in a garden and ends in a garden-city.

2.From Garden to City

God will dwell face to face with His people. No distance. No hiding. No separation. No veil.

3.God With His People

In the new creation, the old sorrows are gone. No death. No mourning. No crying. No pain.

4.No More Death or Pain

Judgment matters because love requires justice. A world of true peace cannot exist if hatred, abuse, violence, greed, lies, and oppression are allowed to remain.

5.Judgment and Mercy

Believers will receive imperishable, glorified bodies. This mortal life will put on immortality. Our future is not disembodied drifting.

6.Resurrection Bodies

We do not grieve as those without hope. Jesus will return. The dead in Christ will rise. God’s people will be with the Lord forever.
